Welding Metallurgy (WMI) is a provider of metallurgical engineering and welding services and a manufacturer of components for various sub-sectors of the military and commercial aerospace industries. In December 2018, WMI was acquired by CPI Aero. The addition of WMI provides CPI Aero the opportunity to provide customers with an even more comprehensive portfolio of products and services. WMI will continue to provide its specialty products, services, and engineering expertise as a wholly owned subsidiary of CPI Aero.
WMI has established a strong tradition of manufacturing complex components and assemblies since 1979. We have the technical expertise and the capacity to provide turnkey solutions to challenging manufacturing projects. Although specialty welding is its primary service, WMI also has manufactured components for various sub-sectors of the commercial and military aerospace industries for over 30 years. These components include manifold and torque tubes, tube and duct assemblies, tank assemblies, structural assemblies and acoustic muffler assemblies.
