Job Summary
The Lead Quality Inspector is responsible for assigning work to inspectors for the completion of Receiving/In-process and Final Inspections of aircraft parts and assemblies in accordance with department work instructions and procedures, as well as customer specifications. The Quality Inspector Lead has the responsibility to insure that work is performed in the most efficient manner possible. The Quality Inspector Lead may be asked to perform any tasks of Quality Inspectors.
Essential Functions
Coordinates activities of workers engaged in inspecting aircraft assemblies, components, and parts; directs workers in quality assurance inspection and testing, to assure that established Customer and regulatory standards are met; assigns training of new workers to qualified workers. Reviews reports and confers with QA/QC, production, engineering and management to solve work-related problems. Make recommendations during the review process for other inspectors.
Education/Experienc
10-15 years in the manufacture of aerospace detail parts and/or assemblies.
Associates Degree or equivalent education and work experience
Model based definition and digital inspection platforms are preferred.
Prior aerospace experience with knowledge of Military and Commercial specifications.
The salary range for this position is: $57,500-$75,000. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and other factors allowed by law. Individuals are not typically hired at or near the top of the salary range.
