Job Description

The Supervisor of Logistics is responsible for the day to day management of inventory and logistics in support of program and company objectives. The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for timely and effective execution of transportation, shipping and receiving, inventory, kitting, and customer delivery through utilization of MRP schedules and in support of programs.  The Logistics Supervisor develops and implements logistics processes and procedures, in conjunction with the Procurement Manager, which are reflective of supply chain best practices and drive continuous improvement throughout the enterprise. The Logistics Supervisor develops and implements tactics in support of the organizations strategic plans and strategies.


Essential Functions

  • Plan, direct and coordinate day to day activities of staff
  • Responsible for inventory Accuracy and reconciling of system vs. physical inventory anomalies
  • Manage all shipping functions and cost, including logistics with external suppliers and delivery to customers
  • Manage third party logistics operations (3PL) and cost effective shipping methods, continuously strives to improve freight costs and efficiencies
  • Establish and maintain processes and procedures compliant with CPI Quality Management System
  • Promote continuous process improvements that eliminate waste
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements
  • Communicates all Logistics needs and issues with all levels of the internal organization and represent the function externally as required
  • Ensures all equipment and vehicles are properly maintained
  • Provides supervision, training, scheduling, and guidance to logistics personnel



  • 6-9 years experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and work experience
