Finance/Operations Analyst

Job Description

The Finance/Operations Analyst conducts analysis and assessments of processes throughout Supply Chain Operations, Program Management, Finance and Production Operations with significant emphasis on analysis of pertinent data and performance standards.  Individual works closely with Finance, Operations and Program Management leadership to develop plans and metrics targeted toward financial analysis, improvement initiatives and achieving organizations goals and objectives, through deployment of Lean methodologies and other applicable tools and processes. Individual works under the general direction of the leader of the Financial, Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization, but collaborates beyond the immediate organization to identify improvements that provide overarching benefits.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify and develop data queries in support of focus areas / initiatives
• Utilize various applications (Microsoft Tools, Visual Basic, etc) to create customized reports and metrics using output from INFOR XA enterprise software
• Identifies trends and potential conditions that contribute to performance gaps or key variances; explores relationships between conditions and effects; distinguishes causes from symptoms and supports identification of primary causes and associated improvement plans
• Works collaboratively with functional leadership across the spectrum of position responsibilities

Qualifications

• 6-9 years experience
• Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience
• Familiarity with INFOR XA enterprise software and / or ability to develop data queries to obtain information required to support metrics and Lean assessments/improvements
• General knowledge of assembly and production processes, supply chain management and quality, as well as Lean principles, processes and tools (i. e. Continuous Flow, Accelerated Improvement Workshop, Value Stream Analysis, Takt Time, etc.)
• Proficiency in standard computing software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• General knowledge of aerospace/defense products, systems, specifications, standards,  technologies - specifically in the area of product manufacturing, materials (metallurgy) and processing (i.e., heat treating, plating, coating; and non-destructive testing)
