CNC Machinist/Setup Associate

Job Description

The ideal CNC individual will operate and lead a small cell of 3 axis machining centers (OKK & Daewoo).  This person will hold overall responsibility for machine setups, operation and in-process inspection.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work within standard operating procedures and job safety parameters
  • Inspect and measure all in-process and finished work pieces to determine conformance to specifications
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions immediately to management
  • Report and document any equipment malfunctions to management
  • Create drawings and data feeds to push to machine
  • Run multiple machines concurrently, when asked
  • Basic machine maintenance (oils, coolants in accordance with TPM sheets)
  • Clean and maintain a safe work area
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years CNC experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with programming and cutting methods desired
  • Fanuc controller experience a must
  • Proficient with Mastercam
  • Experience working with Aluminum
  • Knowledge of manual inspection tools, CNC tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures and other accessories used on various machines.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions
